A perfect day at Villa Rose, from morning coffee to the pizza oven

Published on May 2, 2026 · 6 min read

What does a holiday day at the villa really look like? Our guests' favourite flow, hour by hour.

The morning starts gently: coffee on the terrace while Carlo comes by to look after the pool, then a few laps before the house wakes up. Early risers walk down to Spiaggia Grande, two minutes away, while the sand is still cool.

At noon, you pick tomatoes and basil in the garden, slice the bread brought back from the village, and lunch settles in the shade of the pergola. The afternoon belongs to the pool, to a nap in the air-conditioned bedrooms, or to a ferry escapade to Carloforte with Delcomar.

The evening ritual

Around seven in the evening, the Palermo oven is lit. While it comes up to temperature, the children finish their game in the play area and the adults open a bottle of Carignano from the cellar. Then the pizzas follow one another under the string lights, and nobody watches the clock.

On energetic evenings, you walk to Le Saline for the sunset, a few minutes from the door. On other evenings, the outdoor shower, a blanket on the panoramic terrace and the starry sky of the campo are more than enough. To compose your own day, the neighbouring beaches are detailed in our beach guide.
